Feed the Hungry San Miguel operates a combination of hunger alleviation and educational programs in communities throughout the municipality. Feed the Hungry not only serves thousands of meals to students through the School Meals program, we provide support for hungry residents across the age spectrum through the Early Childhood Nutrition program and Extended Alimentation program.
And through our Student Hydration program, more than 650 liters of purified water are delivered every month to 21 rural communities where water is contaminated or in short supply.
Family Nutrition Education and individualized counseling is provided to the mothers of children identified as severely malnourished or obese.
Through Cooperative Programs, we facilitate dental care, English classes and scholarships, and provide food for orphans, children with disabilities, and the elderly who are served by local urban charities.
